CNIC, CAS, and EGI partner on AI-driven Open Science infrastructures under a new MoU
The Computer Network Information Center, CAS, and EGI recently renewed their strategic cooperation agreement at the CAS Informationization Plaza. Representatives from both organizations, along with a CODATA observer, attended the event.
Following continuous efforts that began five years ago, CSTCloud and EGI co-developed open-science infrastructure solutions to enhance transdisciplinary research in China and Europe.
We will continue to work with EGI to support interoperability between technical infrastructures for international cooperation, such as the UN Sustainable Development Goals and others, says Long Chun, Deputy Director of the CNIC at CAS.
EGI will leverage the contribution of its federation members and the collaboration with the ENVRI community in Europe to provide integrated, high-quality environmental data and services for SDGs, says Tiziana Ferrari, Director of EGI Foundation.
Thanks to the coordinated efforts of EGI and CNIC, this MoU signifies a milestone in unifying various research resources for AI-driven Open Science and SDGs. Hopefully, it will benefit science and society by advancing Open Science and SDGs in the region.
