An International Peer Reviewed Meeting has been held in CNIC

On the afternoon of Dec. 2nd, the experts who invited by Chinese American Networking Symposium 2009CANS2009, have visited Computer Network Information Center,CAS. The experts including Mr.José MuñozMrs,the director of OCI in NSF, Mrs.Jacqueline from Washington university and others. They has invited by director Huang to give a peer review for CNIC.

 

Firstly, accompanied by director Huang and technicians from four divisions, the experts paid a visit to machinery room. P.M.2:00 , peer review meeting has begun, hosted by director Huang, he also gave a speech which called CNIC e-Science Approach. And then, the directors of all divisions of CNIC gave speeches one by one, to introduce the situation of their development and international cooperation. At the end of every speech, the experts would like to ask some questions which theyre interested or concerned to consult with speaker. CNICs got lots of constructive suggestions and advices, the meeting is fruitful. During the meeting, Prof. Baoping Yan has awarded the letter of appointment to Mrs. Jacqueline who is a number of CNIC international advisory committee. The meeting has been closed with the sincere and friendly atmosphere.

 

It is a profitable try on CNICs international cooperation by inviting experts to hold an international peer review. Director Huang also expressed that CNIC will pay more attention to international peer review to improve business level. There are some leaders of CNIC who attended the meeting as well, including Prof. Yan Baoping, the chief engineer, Prof. Qian Hualin, the chief scientist, Prof.Mao Wei,the deputy director, Prof. Xiao Yun, the assistant director and Prof. Li Wangping, director of Science& Technology Department of CNIC.
