On Oct.27,Prof.Jorge Gasos,the Officer from European Commission,the department of information service and software,Prof. Thierry Priol from the French National Institute for Research in Computer Science and Control(INRIA),and Ms.Patricia Ho-Hone,the European Research Consortium for Informatics and Mathematics(ERCIM),they three came to CNIC for visiting and discussion,accompanied by Prof.Depei Qian and Ms.Teng Ben.
Prof.Baoping Yan,the capital engineer of CNIC,introduced the current conditions of science and technology of CNIC.She described the construction of E-Science which processed in all kinds of departments,also take some examples about E-Science application in CNIC.Later,Prof.Jorge Gasos and others visited engine-room where lay the super computer Shenteng 6800.The technicians from the Super Computing Center and China Internet Network Information Center,gave a brief introduction on system of domain management and environment of super computing for them.Last,Prof.Baoping Yan represented CNIC to present a little gift for friendly visitors,also they took a group photo together.
