On March 3-4, the 18th PRAGMA workshop was successfully held at UCSD. Computer Network Information Center Delegation, including Director Kai Nan of Collaboration Environment Research Center (CERC), Director Xuebin Chi of Supercomputing Center, attended the workshop. Dr. Kejun Dong from CERC made a presentation titled “Collaboration Environment for e-Science: Duckling and Applications”, giving an introduction to the Collaboration Environment Suite, Duckling, and providing a live demonstration of several applications plug-ins such as Activity Arrangement Tool, Data Analysis and Management System and so on. Dr. Long Wang introduced the latest research progress of Supercomputing Center.
It’s worth mentioning that the workshop website at http://pragma18.pragma-grid.net is totally powered by Duckling, which provides workshop information publishing, user registration, abstract submission and review and logistics arrangement. Attendees including program committee chair of this workshop, Dr. Wilfred Li, gave positive assessment to the website and suggested the 19th PRAGMA workshop program committee to use Duckling.
