The 24th Asia-Pacific Advanced Network (APAN) Meeting was successfully hosted by CSTNet at Xi’an, from August 27 to 31, 2007.
APAN (Asia-Pacific Advanced Network) is a non-profit international consortium established on 3 June 1997 and is designed to be a high-performance network for research and development on advanced next generation applications and services. APAN provides an advanced networking environment for the research and education community in the Asia-Pacific region and promotes global collaboration.
During this 5-days event, about 300 scholars, experts and researchers from China, USA, Japan and other countries from Asia-Pacific region attended more than 45 sessions with topics related to network technology, network research and network applications. Engineers from CSTNet gave presentations about network and GLORIAD update and demonstrated e-Science constructions of CAS.
