10G Backbone Upgrade between Internation Exhange Points
In order to facilitate international research cooperation and promote the joint capability between two international data exchange points in Seattle and Chicago, China Science and Technology Network (CSTNET) coordinated with partners in North America and successfully upgraded the backbone speed between the two international exchange points from 1G to 10G recently.
The 10G upgrade will greatly improve the data transmission capacity for supporting international cooperation and enhance the reliability of large-scale scientific research data transmission between China and the United States, making it possible to provide better technical support for Sino-U.S. cooperation in multiple fields such as high energy physics and genetic research.
