Training on New Media Technology for Science Outreach and E-learning
CNIC holds or participates in training seminars on new media technologies for science outreach and professional training with some examples as follows.
CNIC provides support for the annual meeting of CAS Federation of Network-based Science Outreach and the concurrent training seminar hosted by the CAS Bureau of Science Communication. In 2016, the annual meeting of CAS Federation of Network-based Science Outreach and training seminar on new media technologies for science communication was held in Beijing on December 4-6, during which more than 150 participants from over 100 organizations across CAS exchanged ideas on various topics such as the use of ICT for science communication, current status and development trends of new media technologies and content development based on first-hand resources from research teams. More than ten organizations received their awards for the 2rd Short Science Video Contest. The Education Forum of VSMC (Virtual Science Museums of China) Demonstration Base was also held to promote discussions on the use of science outreach resources for educational purposes.

In addition, in order to promote more effective use of the online learning platform, CNIC organizes and participates in various training seminars on e-learning and provides technical support for different types of learning platforms.
