Research Online , a collection of SaaS products based on Duckling software platform, has maintained a good development momentum. As of December 31, 2015, nine applications, including the team document library and the research home page, have been released, serving over 430,000 users.
The team document library is a cloud storage and socialized collaboration platform for scientific research teams, developed on the basis of Duckling software, which enables user cloud storage, file sharing and collaborative working. By the end of 2015, the team document library has attracted more than 1,178,000 registered users and 8328 teams.
Research homepage aims to provide personalized academic homepage service for scientists, as well as for the scientific research and academic institutions to release the organizational collection of academic achievements and activities. As of December 31, 2015, 8717 scholars including a considerable number of academicians and professors have created their personal academic homepages.
Conference Service Platform provides a one-stop platform for creating, releasing and managing conference websites. As of December 31, 2015, the platform has formally released 2031 conferences and attracted more than 120,000 registered participants. The CAS research institution coverage rate reached 95% and the service availability rate reached 99.6%.
dChat is an institutional instant messaging platform released in November 2013. It is a stable, flexible and open platform which integrates the instant communication system and institutional application software. dChat includes the server software, mobile phone client, PC client, web client and many other components and functions, such as automatic WiFi connection, sending of push messages, embedment in other CSTNET web applications and so on. In 2015, dChat provided support for a number of interactive activities during the 20th Anniversary of CNIC and ICT trainings for research institutions.
Organization contact book is an online contact and relationship management tool for organizations and groups provided by CSTNET. It allows users to easily manage the organization and the relationship between groups for promoting internal communication and cooperation. It supports users to login with CSTNET passport and functions as a centralized data source for other applications, synchronizing data between them. By the end of 2015, the organization contact book has provided service for 440 organizations and 8559 groups.
